Not a big story in a game when 15th rankedCremona (3-12) lost at home to tenth ranked Umana Venezia (7-8) 86-78 on Sunday. Venezia made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Venezia outrebounded Cremona 35-21 including a 25-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian power forward Mfiondu Kabengele (207-1997, college: FSU) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Canadian point guard Tyler Ennis (188-1994, college: Syracuse) accounted for 13 points and 6 assists for the winning side. Four Umana Venezia players scored in double figures. American guard Payton Willis (193-1998, college: Minnesota) came up with 22 points and the other American import point guard Corey Davis (186-1997, college: Houston) added 12 points respectively for Cremona in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Umana Venezia have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to ninth place. Loser Cremona dropped to the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Pistoia.
