There was an upset when higher rankedDesio (9-13) was defeated at home by twentieth ranked Ragusa (4-18) 88-73 on Saturday. Ragusa outrebounded Desio 41-24 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ragusa shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized Estonian point guard Hugo Erkmaa (194-1999) fired 28 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Power forward Mirko Gloria (203-1995, agency: Players Group) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. Ragusa's coach Giovanni Recupido used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Alessandro Cipolla (198-2000) produced 16 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and Lithuanian forward Emilis Bartninkas (202-2004) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Ragusa maintains twentieth position with 4-18 record. Desio lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Chieti and Salerno.
