The game between closely ranked teams ended with 3rd placedTrieste 's (10-5) home loss to second ranked Roseto (12-3) 62-71 on Saturday. Roseto outrebounded Trieste 46-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Lucrezia Coser (177-1998) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Lithuanian center Livija Sakeviciute (190-1999) accounted for 7 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Costanza Miccoli (185-1995) came up with 19 points and 5 rebounds and guard Giorgia Sammartini (175-2001) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Trieste in the defeat. Four Trieste players scored in double figures. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Roseto . They maintain second place with 12-3 record behind leader Udine, which they share with Milano and Costa Masnaga. Loser Trieste dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with Treviso. Roseto will meet at home league's leader Udine in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Trieste will play against Matelica (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
