The game had a very big importance for second-rankedTreviglio as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Treviglio defeated 8th ranked Fidenza at home 75-59 . They outrebounded Fidenza 37-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-1990, college: DePaul) who scored that evening 14 points and 8 rebounds and naturalized Slovenian Denis Alibegovic (195-1999, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 15 points. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by Finnish power forward Mubashar Ali (213-1997, college: FMU, agency: Bell Basketball) did not help to save the game for Fidenza . Point guard Simone Valsecchi (181-2004, agency: SLN) added 13 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Treviglio (23-5) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Legnano. Newly promoted Fidenza dropped to the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Mestre and Monferrato.
