There was a minor upset when 15th rankedDesio (11-18) was defeated on the road by seventeenth ranked Piacenza (10-19) 71-60 on Sunday. Piacenza outrebounded Desio 38-27 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naturalized Latvian Ricards Klanskis (201-2003) stepped up and scored 9 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and point guard Vincenzo Taddeo (190-2000) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Swingman Stefano Elli (197-2004) responded with 14 points and Lithuanian forward Emilis Bartninkas (202-2004) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Piacenza moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Piombino.
