Everything went according to plan when first rankedTreviglio (25-5) outplayed at home 18th ranked Saronno (7-23) 98-73 on Wednesday. Treviglio forced 19 Saronno turnovers and outrebounded them 41-28 including 29 on the defensive glass. Treviglio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Marco Restelli (190-2004) notched 21 points to lead the effort and Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-1990, college: DePaul) supported him with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Treviglio's coach Davide Villa felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 16 points and 7 rebounds by swingman Gabriele Pellegrini (197-2002) did not help to save the game for Saronno . Forward Andrea Quinti (200-2001) added 13 points and 5 rebounds. Four Saronno players scored in double figures. Treviglio have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-5 record. Saronno lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the nineteenth place with 23 games lost. They share the position with Latina.
