Regular Season Round 21: Udine - Ragusa 67-70

There was a minor upset when 3rd placed Udine (15-6) was edged at home by sixth ranked Ragusa (15-6) 70-67 on Saturday. Argentinian guard Amaiquen Siciliano (170-1999, college: Bishop's) nailed a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Chiara Consolini (180-1988) accounted for 9 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Carlotta Gianolla (185-1997, college: KSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and guard Adele Cancelli (191-2004) added 7 points and 19 rebounds respectively for Udine in the defeat. Ragusa have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Udine. Udine lost fourth consecutive game. Ragusa will meet at home higher ranked Treviso (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Udine will play against Vicenza and hope to secure a win.
