Venezia outrebounded Sassari 34-19 including 21 on the defensive glass. American forward Rashawn Thomas (203-1994, college: TAMUCC) came up with 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Alessandro Cappelletti (186-1995) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for Sassari in the defeat.
