Very important is a road loss of second rankedRimini Crabs (20-10) against fourth ranked Cantu (20-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Rimini Crabs were defeated by Cantu in Cantu 84-74 . American Tyrus McGee (188-1991, college: Iowa St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 9 assists. The former international forward Grant Basile (206-2000, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American Justin Johnson (200-1996, college: WKU) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Giovanni Tomassini (188-1988) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Rimini Crabs. Cantu moved-up to third place. Rimini Crabs lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with ten games lost. Cantu will play against Brindisi (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rimini Crabs will play against Rieti (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
