There was no surprise when 19th ranked Ragusa (8-28) lost at home to sixth ranked Mestre (22-14) 91-76 on Sunday. The winners were led by forward Simone Aromando (200-1997) who scored that evening 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Lorenzo Galmarini (200-1995) supported him with 9 points and 10 rebounds. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Mirko Gloria (203-1995, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Ragusa. Davide Vavoli (198-2001, agency: Players Group) added 18 points and 5 rebounds. Mestre maintains sixth position with 22-14 record. Ragusa lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the nineteenth place with 28 games lost. Mestre will meet Faenza (#7) on the road in the next round. Ragusa will play against Monferrato (#9) and hope to secure a win.
