There was a surprise result when eighteenth rankedVigevano (12-25) defeated at home higher ranked Verona (21-16) 94-90 on Saturday. Vigevano looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American point guard Blake Francis (183-1998, college: Richmond) nailed 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists for the winning side and point guard Filippo Rossi (193-1997) accounted for 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Zach Copeland (193-1997, college: Illinois St.) came up with 33 points (!!!) and 6 assists and the former international Mattia Palumbo (198-2000) added 19 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for Verona in the defeat. Four Verona players scored in double figures. Vigevano maintains eighteenth place with 12-25 record. Loser Verona keeps the seventh position with 16 games lost.
