There was a minor upset in Casale where 8th rankedFaenza (21-17) was defeated by tenth ranked Monferrato (21-17) 84-80 on Sunday. Swingman Simone Vecerina (196-1999) scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-1989) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-1988) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and Giovanni Poggi (201-1997) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Monferrato moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Faenza. Faenza lost fourth consecutive game.
