Regular Season Round 2: Pesaro - Livorno Libertas 62-78

There was a small surprise when Livorno Libertas beat on the road Pesaro 78-62 on Tuesday. American Matt Tiby (203-1992, college: Milwaukee) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Avery Woodson (188-1993, college: Butler, agency: SLN) supported him with 22 points. Even 18 points and 4 assists by the former international guard Matteo Tambone (192-1994) did not help to save the game for Pesaro. Naturalized Argentinian forward Octavio Maretto (196-2004) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Livorno Libertas will meet at home Brindisi in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pesaro will play against Puglia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
