Everything went according to plan in Capo d'Orlando whereOrlandina (2-1) won against Monferrato (0-3) 74-70 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Orlandina made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Franco Gaetano (202-1999, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Lithuanian Simas Jasaitis (201-1982) helped adding 15 points. The best for the losing side was Lithuanian guard Vytenis Cizauskas (187-1992) with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and Simone Caglio (191-2002, agency: Players Group) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Four Monferrato players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
