There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedDesio (2-2) crushed at home higher ranked Vicenza (2-2) 104-70 on Saturday. Desio made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. The winners were led by Lithuanian forward Emilis Bartninkas (202-2004, agency: Players Group) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Gabriele Giarelli (200-1993, agency: BIG) supported him with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Desio players scored in double figures. Even 14 points and 5 assists by point guard Davide Meluzzi (180-1998) did not help to save the game for Vicenza . Spanish forward Federico Ucles (204-1993, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 9 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Desio moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 9 other teams including defeated Vicenza .
