Regular Season Round 4: Monferrato - Agrigento 57-61

Agrigento 's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Casale, where they defeated Monferrato (0-4) 61-57 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Agrigento made 7 blocks. The winners were led by who scored that evening 21 points and 6 rebounds and center Federico Grani (207-2003) supported him with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-1989) did not help to save the game for Monferrato . Latvian Andris Misters (195-1992, college: Jacksonville) added 5 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Monferrato's coach Fabio Corbani tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Agrigento (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 6 other teams. It was Monferrato 's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams.
