Regular Season Round 7: Rimini - Pesaro 86-65

Round 7 in Serie A2 means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Rimini where hostRimini (4-3) crushed league's leader Pesaro (5-2) 86-65 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pesaro. Rimini made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Pesaro turnovers. Rimini looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Gerald Robinson (185-1989, college: Georgia, agency: Slash Sports) fired 12 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. His fellow American import forward Mark Ogden (206-1994, college: Utah Tech) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Rimini's coach Sandro Dell'Agnello felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian Regimantas Miniotas (208-1996) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Matteo Tambone (192-1994) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Rimini and four Pesaro players scored in double figures. Rimini moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 8 other teams. Pesaro at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Brindisi who have the same record.
