There was no surprise when 19th rankedPuglia (2-6) was outleveled on the road by eleventh ranked Rieti (5-3) 101-78 on Wednesday. Rieti outrebounded Puglia 37-24 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rieti looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American guard Darius Perry (188-1999, college: UCF) who scored that evening 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Davide Pascolo (201-1990) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 19 points by American forward Pierre Brooks II (198-2002, college: Butler) did not help to save the game for Puglia . The former international center Jacopo Borra (215-1990, agency: Interperformances) added 10 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rieti moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Puglia dropped to the eighteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Roseto.
