Regular Season Round 6: Sassari - Cantu 100-84
Date: November 6, 2025
Sassari 's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Cantu (2-4) 100-84 on Thursday. Sassari made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. American point guard Nate Johnson (193-1998, college: Xavier) notched 33 points (!!!) and 5 steals to lead the effort and the other American import guard Carlos Marshall Jr (198-1999, college: Santa Clara) supported him with 24 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds by did not help to save the game for Cantu . American point guard Jacob Gilyard (175-1998, college: Richmond, agency: One Motive Sports) added 15 points and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sassari (1-5) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Cantu keeps the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Reggio Emilia and Napoli. Sassari will meet higher ranked Venezia (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Cantu will play against Udine (#16) and hope to secure a win.
