Very expected game when 16th rankedMonferrato (2-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked Legnano (8-2) 80-63 on Wednesday. Legnano dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Monferrato 's 28. They outrebounded Monferrato 41-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian guard Vytenis Cizauskas (187-1992) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Andrea Quinti chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Legnano players scored in double figures. Argentinian Tomas Zanzottera (190-1993) produced 23 points and 4 assists and Marco Rupil (192-2001) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Legnano keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Treviglio and Montecatini. Monferrato at the other side keeps the sixteenth place with nine games lost.
