Serie A2 round 17 caused change at the leadership position. Fifth defeat of league's leaderBrindisi (11-5) against thirteenth ranked Bergamo (8-8) 95-80 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Brindisi. Bergamo looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Brindisi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Andrea Loro (204-2003, agency: Players Group) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Gabriele Stefanini (191-1999, college: USF, agency: BIG) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Bergamo players scored in double figures. American guard Zach Copeland (193-1997, college: Illinois St.) answered with 24 points and 5 assists and Gabriele Miani (202-2000, agency: SLN) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Brindisi. Brindisi's coach Piero Bucchi rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bergamo moved-up to twelfth place. Brindisi at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They share it with Cividale. They were replaced at the leadership position by Pesaro.
