No shocking result in a game when fourth rankedMontecatini (13-5) beat at home 11th ranked Desio (9-9) 87-77 on Sunday. Montecatini outrebounded Desio 37-23 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Mattia Acunzo (203-2000, college: RMU, agency: SLN) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Center Jacopo Vedovato (205-1995) accounted for 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Montecatini players scored in double figures. Gabriele Giarelli (200-1993, agency: BIG) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Gabriele Tarallo (197-2004, agency: SLN) added 14 points respectively for Desio in the defeat. Desio's coach Marco Regazzi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Montecatini . They moved-up to third place. Loser Desio dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Jesi.
