LeaderVirtus Bologna delivered the thirteenth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Umana Venezia (10-5) 81-75 . Virtus made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for international forward Saliou Niang (200-2004) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds. American forward Derrick Alston Jr (206-1997, college: Boise St.) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Canadian power forward Kyle Wiltjer (207-1992, college: Gonzaga) with 16 points and American point guard RJ Cole (182-1999, college: UConn) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Four Venezia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Virtus Bologna have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 13-2 record. Loser Umana Venezia dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Trapani and Tortona.
