There was no surprise when 11th rankedBattipaglia (1-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Scrivia (8-7) 73-69 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Scrivia made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Cornelia Fondren (173-1993, college: Syracuse) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Anastasia Conte (174-2000) who added 16 points and 4 steals during the contest. Fondren is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Scrivia's coach Orazio Cutugno used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Anaya Peoples (180-2000, college: DePaul, agency: Next Page Sports) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Czech forward Isnelle Natabou (193-1999, college: FIU) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Scrivia maintains fifth position with 8-7 record. Battipaglia lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 14 games lost.
