Everything went according to plan in Casale where eleventh rankedOmegna (13-10) beat 17th ranked Monferrato (4-19) 97-90 on Sunday. Omegna made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Latvian Andris Misters (195-1992, college: Jacksonville) who scored 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Federico Casoni (201-1997) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-1989) who recorded 20 points and 8 rebounds and Argentinian Tomas Zanzottera (190-1993) added 24 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monferrato's coach Fabio Corbani rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Omegna moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Vicenza and Imola ACosta. Monferrato lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 19 games lost.
