There was a surprise result when twelfth rankedDesio (12-12) defeated at home higher ranked Montecatini (17-8) 90-83 on Saturday. Desio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Michele Munari (190-2004, agency: SLN) notched 24 points and 5 assists to lead the effort and guard Stefano Conte (187-2005) supported him with 19 points and 4 assists. Desio's coach Marco Regazzi used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Francesco Fratto (199-1991) did not help to save the game for Montecatini . Guard Federico Burini (191-1993, agency: SLN) added 12 points and 5 assists for the guests. Four Montecatini players scored in double figures. Desio maintains twelfth position with 12-12 record. Loser Montecatini dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost.
