There was a surprise result in San Martino di L where ninth ranked San Martino (6-12) beat 4th placed San Giovanni (10-7) 75-69 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American forward Liz Scott (188-2001, college: Oklahoma) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Jordan Hobbs (190-2003, college: Michigan) helped adding 19 points. At the losing side American forward Madison Scott (188-2001, college: Ole Miss) responded with 25 points and French Sara Roumy (181-2003) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. San Martino maintains ninth place with 6-12 record. Loser San Giovanni keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Scrivia. San Martino will meet at home higher ranked Roseto (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. San Giovanni will play against Sassari (#7) and hope to secure a win.
