There was no surprise when 11th rankedBattipaglia (1-17) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Sassari (7-11) 71-60 on Sunday. It was a great evening for American guard Didi Richards (188-1999, college: Baylor) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international point guard Debora Carangelo (163-1992) helped adding 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Sassari players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Anaya Peoples (180-2000, college: DePaul, agency: Next Page Sports) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Dutch Esther Fokke (185-1996, agency: DC Sports) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Sassari moved-up to seventh place. Battipaglia lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay dead last with 17 lost games.
