There was an upset when higher rankedDolomiti Trentino (9-10) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Cantu (5-15) 108-91 on Sunday. Cantu shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international Giordano Bortolani (193-2000) who scored 24 points. American guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. Naturalized North Macedonian forward Andrej Jakimovski (203-2001, college: Colorado) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Khalif Battle (196-2000, college: Gonzaga) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Cantu maintains fourteenth position with 5-15 record. Loser Dolomiti Trentino keeps the seventh place with ten games lost.
