Everything went according to plan when third rankedCaserta Pap. (21-5) beat on the road 5th ranked Luiss Roma (17-8) 80-69 on Wednesday. Caserta Pap. made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Matej Radunic (211-1996) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Forward Andrea Lo Biondo (206-1998, college: Winona St.) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Riccardo Casella (185-2006) who recorded 19 points and Riccardo Salvioni (198-2004) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Caserta Pap. moved-up to second place, which they share with Livorno Pielle. Luiss Roma lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost.
