Regular Season Round 20: Cagliari V - Costa Masnaga 76-61

There was a change at the Serie A2 leadership position after last games. Round 20 most important game was a defeat of league's leaderCosta Masnaga (16-3). They were defeated by eighth ranked Cagliari V (9-9) 76-61 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Costa Masnaga. Cagliari V forced 21 Costa Masnaga turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Mounia El Habbab (186-1994) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Giulia Corda (170-2005) who added 10 points, 11 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Cagliari V players scored in double figures. Emma Volpato (183-2007) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and German forward Patricia Brossmann (185-1997, college: San Diego) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Costa Masnaga's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cagliari V have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 9-9 record. Costa Masnaga at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Matelica.
