There was a minor upset when 16th rankedFiorenzuola (11-19) was edged at home by eighteenth ranked Monferrato (6-24) 106-105 on Sunday. Monferrato looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for Argentinian Tomas Zanzottera (190-1993) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. point guard Gianmarco Fiusco (190-2003) helped adding 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Andrea Cecchi (196-2005) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Argentinian guard Guido Mariani (194-1994, agency: BIG) scored 27 points and 8 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Monferrato moved-up to seventeenth place. Loser Fiorenzuola keeps the sixteenth position with 19 games lost.
