Fourteenth-rankedCantu (5-16) made lots of trouble for third ranked Armani Milano (15-6) on Monday. Armani Milano managed to secure only two-point victory 88-86 . However their fans expected much easier game. International Giampaolo Ricci (202-1991) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and Argentinian swingman Leandro Bolmaro (198-2000) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Armani Milano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Mali center Oumar Ballo (213-2002, college: Indiana) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) scored 15 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Cantu's coach Nicola Brienza rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Armani Milano have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 15-6 record having just 36 point less than leader Virtus BO. Newly promoted Cantu keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost.
