Eleventh-rankedCremona (8-14) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked Brescia (16-5) on Sunday. The visitors from Brescia managed to secure only one-point victory 79-78 . However their fans expected much easier game. Brescia outrebounded Cremona 41-26 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jason Burnell (201-1997, college: Jax State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-1989) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Senegalese Ousmane Ndiaye (210-2004) replied with 22 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and international guard Davide Casarin (197-2003) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cremona. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cremona's coach Pierluigi Brotto rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Brescia maintains second position with 16-5 record having just 37 point less than leader Virtus BO. Cremona lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Sassari and Udine.
