Fifth-rankedVerona (21-13) made lots of trouble for first ranked Pesaro (25-9) on Friday. Pesaro managed to secure only one-point victory 84-83 . However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Verona. The former international guard Matteo Tambone (192-1994) fired 23 points for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian forward Octavio Maretto (196-2004) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four Pesaro players scored in double figures. Federico Zampini (191-1999, agency: Players Group) produced 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Andrea Loro (204-2003, agency: Players Group) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Verona's coach Alessandro Ramagli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pesaro maintains first position with 25-9 record. Verona at the other side keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Cividale.
