There was no surprise when 16th rankedFiorenzuola (12-21) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Omegna (18-15) 99-83 on Saturday. Omegna made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. Serbian forward Marko Brekic (199-2001) scored 28 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seventeen free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and center Jacopo Balanzoni (205-1993, agency: SLN) chipped in 11 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Riccardo Crespi (205-1997, agency: SLN) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Argentinian guard Guido Mariani (194-1994, agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Omegna and five Fiorenzuola players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Omegna moved-up to tenth place. Loser Fiorenzuola keeps the sixteenth position with 21 games lost.
