There was an upset in Piazza Armerina where higher rankedTreviglio (20-14) was defeated by fifteenth ranked Piazza Armer. (15-19) 81-74 on Wednesday. Strangely Treviglio outrebounded Piazza Armer. 39-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian power forward Simeon Lepichev (207-1995, college: FAU, agency: Helping Ballers) who scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Ezio Gallizzi (183-2000) chipped in 9 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Marco Restelli (190-2004) who recorded 29 points and 6 rebounds and Croatian center Aleksandar Marcius (208-1990, college: DePaul) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piazza Armer. moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Piombino. Loser Treviglio dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Luiss Roma and Legnano.
