We should mention about the upset which took place in Cantu, where higher rankedOpenjobmetis Varese (12-15) lost to fourteenth ranked Cantu (9-18) in a road game 96-100 on Sunday. Cantu forced 20 Varese turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Erick Green (190-1991, college: Virginia Tech) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. French forward Ivan Fevrier (202-1999) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Finnish forward Olivier Nkamhoua (203-2000, college: Michigan) with 23 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Davide Alviti (201-1996) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Varese players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Cantu moved-up to thirteenth place. Loser Openjobmetis Varese keeps the eighth position with 15 games lost.
