There was an upset when higher rankedSan Severo (23-13) lost on the road to twelfth ranked Piombino (16-20) 92-74 on Sunday. Piombino looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Luca Fabiani (200-2002, agency: Players Group) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and American Nik Raivio (193-1986, college: Portland, agency: Pensack Sports) supported him with 12 points and 9 rebounds. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by center Matteo Gherardini (206-2004) did not help to save the game for San Severo . Matteo Morelli (201-2005) added 17 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Piombino moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser San Severo keeps the fifth position with 13 games lost.
