Regular Season Round 13: Mazeikiai - Juventus 73-84

Bottom-ranked Mazeikiai is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fourth ranked Juventus (8-3) 84-73 on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Juventus. Mazeikiai managed to win second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Samoan point guard Rashaun Broadus (180-84, college: BYU) nailed 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Valdas Dabkus (205-84) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. Latvian forward Raimundas Danys (196-85) came up with 19 points and swingman Vytautas Pikalavicius (196-90) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Mazeikiai in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Juventus. They maintain fourth place with 8-3 record. Mazeikiai lost their twelfth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Juventus will meet at home Siauliai (#6) in the next round. Mazeikiai will play against the league's leader Zalgiris (#1) in Kaunas and hopes to get finally their first victory.
