Bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 managed to get the third consecutive victory on Friday night. This time newly promoted Lietkabelis-2 won against thirteenth-ranked Ezerunas-Karys in Moletai 72-68. Ezerunas-Karys was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Guard Simonas Slivka (195-86) stepped up and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Tadas Buinauskas (196-88) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Lietkabelis-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Evaldas Baniulis (201-87, college: S.Carolina) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Simonas Lekys (180-93) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Lietkabelis-2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted Lietkabelis-2 maintains fourteenth place with 7-24 record. Ezerunas-Karys lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. Lietkabelis-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
