Second Stage Round 11: Perlas-MRU - Suduva-Mantinga 55-86

Not a big story in a game in Vilnius where 4th placed Perlas-MRU (19-16) was outplayed by first ranked Suduva-Mantinga (30-5) 86-55 on Friday. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was forward Marius Valukonis (198-88) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. The former international Aurimas Kieza (202-82, college: Hofstra) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Belarusian forward Yauhen Massalski (204-99) produced 6 points and 8 rebounds and guard Aistis Pilauskas (190-98) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suduva-Mantinga have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 30-5 record. Perlas-MRU at the other side keeps the fourth position with 16 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will face league's second-placed Vytis in Sakiai in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Perlas-MRU will play on the road against Telsiai in Telsiu and hope to win that game.
