Regular Season Round 3: Nevezis - Vytautas 80-68

Vytautas (2-1) recorded a loss in Kedainiai. Visitors were defeated by Nevezis (1-2) 80-68. The game was mostly controlled by Nevezis. Vytautas was better in fourth quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Nevezis players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a good game for Croatia guard Toni Prostran (182-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 assists. Center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Nevezis players scored in double figures. Center Mindaugas Kupsas (217-91, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Martynas Linkevicius (196-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Vytautas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nevezis will play against Neptunas (#9) in Klaipeda in the next round. Vytautas will play on the road against Zalgiris (#4) in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
