The game between second ranked Nafta-Uni. (6-1) and 13th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (1-6) in Klaipeda on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Nafta-Uni. beat guests from Moletai 86-69. The game was mostly controlled by Nafta-Uni.. Ezerunas-Karys managed to win second period 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Ezerunas-Karys 43-23 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nafta-Uni. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a quality performance for forward Viktoras Chodosovskis (200-89) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Erikas Kubilius (194-95) accounted for 15 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Nafta-Uni.'s coach Rytis Vaisvila used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Marius Pociukonis (189-82) came up with 14 points and Laurynas Kirlys (191-93) added 16 points respectively for Ezerunas-Karys in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nafta-Uni. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Suduva-Mantinga. Ezerunas-Karys lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with six games lost. They share the position with Vytis. Nafta-Uni. will meet Palanga (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Ezerunas-Karys will play against Vytis (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
