No shocking result in a game when second ranked Suduva-Mantinga (6-1) beat bottom-ranked Vytis (1-6) in Sakiai 88-76 on Friday. The game without a history. Suduva-Mantinga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was an exceptional evening for Aurimas Kieza (199-82, college: Hofstra) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Ernestas Ezerskis (193-87) accounted for 15 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Guard Paulius Beliavicius (194-88) came up with 25 points and 5 assists and forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vytis in the defeat. Suduva-Mantinga have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Nafta-Uni. Loser Vytis dropped to the bottom place with six games lost. They share the position with Ezerunas-Karys. Suduva-Mantinga will meet at home Mazeikiai (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vytis will play against Ezerunas-Karys (#13) in Moletai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
