No shocking result in a game in Kaunas where eighth ranked Zalgiris II (18-14) defeated bottom-ranked Ezerunas-Karys (7-25) 91-76. Ezerunas-Karys was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 53-36 second half run of Zalgiris II. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. Zalgiris II players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Matas Jogela (198-98) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Power forward Gytis Masiulis (206-98) accounted for 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Guard Marius Pociukonis (189-82) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Raimundas Ambrulaitis (200-82) added 11 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ezerunas-Karys in the defeat. Four Ezerunas-Karys players scored in double figures. Zalgiris II have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 18-14 record. Ezerunas-Karys lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom. Zalgiris II's next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Ezerunas-Karys (#14) in Moletai which should be theoretically an easy game.
