No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Jonava (11-11) defeated on the road 10th ranked Ereliai Mazeikiai (9-13) 69-60 on Saturday. Jonava forced 26 Ereliai Mazeikiai turnovers. Nigerian-American guard Ebuka Anyaorah (193-90, college: N.C.Central) fired 16 points and 5 steals for the winners. Point guard Lukas Grabauskas (192-95) chipped in 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Anyaorah is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Jonava's coach Nerijus Zabarauskas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) produced 11 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and center Tomas Rimsa (208-96) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Ereliai Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. Jonava moved-up to seventh place. Loser Ereliai Mazeikiai dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Jonava will face Delikatesas (#12) in Joniskis in the next round where they are favorite. Ereliai Mazeikiai will play at home against KTU and hope to win that game.
