Very predictable result when eighth ranked Perlas (17-18) outscored on the road bottom-ranked Palanga (6-30) 93-63 on Saturday. Perlas dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Palanga's 30. Perlas forced 20 Palanga turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Palanga's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Martynas Maskolaitis (200-97) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and Einaras Tubutis (208-98) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Perlas players scored in double figures. Perlas' coach Arvydas Gronskis felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Laimonas Remeikis (200-97) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Mantvydas Staniulis (189-97) scored 21 points. Perlas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Ezerunas. Palanga lost twenty third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 30 lost games. Perlas will meet Taurages (#10) on the road in the next round. Palanga will play against Jonava (#6) and hope to secure a win.
