Quarter-Finals Round 3: Zalgiris - Nevezis 84-69

Zalgiris stormed past Nevezis to complete the sweep of the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris. Nevezis was better in fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Zalgiris players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Nevezis' players. It was a quality performance for Slovenian point guard Beno Udrih (190-82) who led the winners and scored 10 points and 9 assists. International guard Arturas Milaknis (195-86) accounted for 12 points for the winning side. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Zalgiris' coach Sarunas Jasikevicius used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Gintautas Matulis (196-86) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: 3Eye) added 16 points respectively for Nevezis in the defeat.
