There was a minor upset when 8th rankedKretinga (4-4) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Palanga (4-1) 66-48 on Thursday. Palanga made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for forward Julius Kazakauskas (196-1990) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Center Julius Jucikas (204-1989, agency: BIG) helped adding 10 points and 12 rebounds. Four Palanga players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) responded with 7 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Gytis Macionis (195-2001) scored 8 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Palanga moved-up to eighth place. Loser Kretinga dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with Stekas.
